Why an extension studio is a good place to have colour done

Matching extension hair to a client’s own head is the hardest colour problem there is: you cannot lighten the extension on the head, you cannot tone it the same way, and you get one attempt at judging it in the right light. Doing that several times a week makes you very good at reading tone.

Which is why colour here is not a separate menu. It is the same skill, applied to your own hair.

What we do

• Balayage and lived-in colour — hand-painted, weighted to how your hair falls rather than to a diagram.
• Blonding — taken as far as the hair will safely go in one sitting, and no further. If it needs two appointments we will say so at the start.
• Root retouch and gloss — the maintenance appointment, and the cheapest way to try us.
• Colour correction — banding, brassiness, a box dye that went wrong, or a faded red that needs neutralising before anything else happens.

Colour before extensions, not after

If you are having both, colour comes first. We colour your own hair, then match the extension hair to the finished result — not the other way around. Trying to colour around a fitted head means bleach near the bonds, which is how capsules fail.

Plenty of clients start with a colour appointment, see the room and the work, and come back for extensions later. That is a perfectly good way to do it.

Dubai specifics

Hard water pulls tone out of blonde fast, and the sun does the rest. If you are going ash or cool, budget for a gloss between full appointments — it costs a fraction of a correction and prevents most of the reasons people need one.
